24. Go to the zoo & 51. Do yoga.

Standard

Hello!

Third day in a row– impressive! Haha, not quite. But still cool?

This morning I began my day with waking up to my dog barking constantly at nothing outside the window… at 7:15am. Joyful! So I got up and walked the dog (again) and headed off to go and work out. Once I got to the gym, I immediately turned around because I saw people I know. I HATE seeing people I know at the gym, so I turned around and went home. I decided that I could try and cross something off my list in the struggle of a morning. I found a Yoga clip on Netflix! It was about 40 minutes long, and it wasn’t too horrible. It was a mix between Yoga and Pilates, so I did a little more moving than regular Yoga… which is good. I might have gotten super bored instead. I don’t know, it was pretty decent, but that’s all I have to say about it, haha.

Anyways. After that, Maddi, Mara and I ventured off to Como Zoo! It was excellent!

Hardtimes.

Struggle.

So, we had some hard times getting there. From bad directions (Thanks Google Maps!) to crazy drivers to traffic to construction zones… it was quite the adventure. Once we arrived, we ventured to the conservatory!

Flowers!

Pretty in pink.

And yellow!

Pretty, pretty. Then we went to the actual zoo part of the park… and saw some excellent animalssss.

Orangutans!

There was a baby Orangutan! He was playing with a sheet… and it was adorable:)

Zebraaassss.

Stripey horses. Kind of odd to watch, because they’re so similar to horses.

Giraffes.

Maddi and I think the one in the middle was a young one, he was a lot smaller than the others. The big one was like 15 feet tall!

Flamingo.

Did you know that they get more pink with how much shrimp they eat? Yep!

So that was the adventure to the zoo. We went to McDonald’s for ice cream cones, and then we all went home. I went home for dinner, and then went to Tucker’s! His fam just got a new car, which they’re all excited about. We took it to Walgreen’s so I could feed the nailpolish addiction. (Also, I found $25 in change in my room…) So I ended up with a glitter, a top coat, a royal blue, and a mint green, which I am all very excited for! Later, we enjoyed some quality Better Off Ted.

Love always, Amelia

5. Pull a prank, 23. Have a bonfire, 40. Put warm-fuzzy notes in library books, & 74. Walk the dog.

Standard

Hello!

GASP. Two posts two days in a row! Wow! Haha, yeah. That means that I’m actually going to start writing again.

Anyways, today was quite the adventure! I feel like I did a lot today… which is good, because I did pretty much nothing all week. First thing I did was I woke up and walked my dog. No– I didn’t take pictures, because walking the dog looks like… walking the dog. Buddy has been pretty weird lately. We got all new furniture, which he is no longer allowed to be on. So now he’s always sad… so a walk made him happy. Yay!

Later today, I went over to Maddi’s house. Maddi and Mara had just returned from a trip to Duluth, which sounded lovely, and we decided it was time for an adventure! And an adventure it was. We started by running off to the library. We cut a gazillion neon note cards in half and covered them in sharpied phrases with warm fuzzies. We put them in library books for people to find someday. I hope we make someone’s day!

Feel goood.

Feel good for everyone!

After that, we ventured over to the Japanese Garden and took a few pictures!

Waterfalls.

Mara and Maddi are pretty.

Then, Grace and Vanessa joined us back at Maddi’s house and we participated in some INTENSE Harry Potter Sporcle quizzes. Check itttt. http://www.sporcle.com/games/GeoGod/allharrypotter

Tucker finally joined us and then we began our bonfire! We made delicious s’mores and enjoyed the fires… and didn’t enjoy the bugs, but that’s expected. During this bonfire, we were discussing how our (mainly Grace’s) lives were so boring, and we never did anything interesting… then Grace had an idea. We shall prank the city! Well, we really only pranked a neighborhood. And it’s not much of a prank– but it was crazy fun.

WHAT WE DID. We took a whole ton of chalk and piled into Grace’s car… essentially we just drew a bunch of lines all over the street. We hung out of all of her doors and trunk and we drew lines up and down the streets with Grace (or I for a short while)  drove at like 2 miles per hour. We call it EXTREME STREET CHALKING. So fun. TRY IT!

extremeee.

Extreme Street Chalking at its best.

Good day.

Love always, Amelia

PS: A tag for Gracie! :)

47. Have a tea party

Standard

Hello!

And that, Katherine and I did! Katherine and I have been best friends since forever. The age of 2, to be exact. Inseparable! (And oh, do I love her!) Today, Katherine, Christine, and I ventured to Bruegger’s with free-bagel-coupons in hand. We enjoyed our lunch, and Tucker also stopped by to quickly eat (then rush off to work.) Then, we went to the park with Katherine’s dog, Libby. Libby is a real dog, not like my own. She fetches and swims and doesn’t weigh 16 pounds. In fact, my dog, Buddy, had a seizure this morning! He’s epileptic and has them every so often– still kind of alarming, though. Anyways. After that, Christine had to work so she headed home. Katherine and I struggled with what to do.

THEN, we took a look at the list! We used to have tea parties all the time when we were little, so clearly it was necessary. We started by finding the tea set and making Toll House chocolate chip cookies.

Yum!

Cookie dough is usually better than actual cookies.

After the cookies were done, we had to dress up just like we used to! We found a box of old Halloween costumes in her basement closet– and we enjoyed it!

Poodleskirts, ftw.

So yes, we looked ridiculous. BUT, we had fun and that’s what matters! Neither of us like actual tea, so our teapot was filled with water and we used the mini “sugar” bowl as the Crystal Light bowl to make lemonade (in painfully small proportions). We spilled a lot, but we always had our pinkies in the air! The important part is to remain proper. We used napkin holders and a fake candle, and it was all excellent. I love days like this with Katherine. <3

That's all, folks.

Love always, Amelia

2. Read a book & 83. Take the dog to the dog park

Good books.

Hello!

Yes, I did it! Amelia — the girl who does not read books –has, in fact, read a book! I’m actually almost done with my second for the summer, ALREADY! Wow. It was Sophie’s idea for the book I read, as it is one of her favorites. I read “The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins… and it was FANTASTIC. It was that perfect mixture of action, sci-fi, adventure, and even a small amount of romance to make an excellent story. It’s about a dystopian society and these terrible traditions they have that force 2 kids from each “district” (essentially cities) to fight to the death. The winner is the person who survives. I strongly recommend it! I am now about halfway through the second book in the trilogy called “Catching Fire.” It’s still super good! Which usually doesn’t happen in sequels, but I’m still enjoying it, so Miss Collins did something right!

Also, I hope everyone notice my new skills of word wrap on images. Please enjoy.

Anyways, Tucker and I also happened to bring my dog, Buddy, to the dog park a few days ago. It was rather enjoyable. My dog is a Jack Russel Terrier, which are known to be kind of… nutty. And apparently has to capitalized according to spell check. Anyways, he doesn’t like other dogs. So we avoided them as much as possible, and it went pretty well. I went again with my family on father’s day, and he wasn’t so great. Buddy is rather… vocal. He kind of “talks”? I guess that’s the right word. Anyways, most dogs don’t care, but their owners usually think he’s like biting them or something, but he never does! He just plays. And even if he does bite, he can’t break skin. Pathetic dog.

My doggyyy.

I like dogs.

The first one is Tucker and ze puppy running. Kind of a funny sight. The rest are kind of obvious. Umm, yeah.

Love always, Amelia

PS: Sorry for the kind of lacking and short post, there really isn’t much to say… I went to a park and read a book. Oooooh.
